The most child and parent friendly store in WNY area!
I have had only great experiences here with my children and grandchildren! The Thomas Train pictures are price less and the involvement with the original owner, John K. had the most fantastic impact on my family and myself! 5 stars!!

I live in Indiana. I was visiting Niagara Falls and I came across your ad in my motel lobby. I just had to go. I drove 50 minutes to get there, and as soon as I got out of my van I realized that I had locked myself out of my van. This nice young man even called the AAA from his own account to help out a stranger. Well, I don't know his name but he was extremely helpful and friendly. He was a tall guy, I am greatly thankful, and I just wanted to express my gratitude. If I'm ever in N.Y. I will be sure to stop in again. If you aren't the him, please pass along this message to let him know that I remember.

By the way. I loved your store even though I only had a few minutes to shop

Hi,

I just received from you my order for a Buffalo Bills tractor trailer truck, Sabres Zamboni and the Niagara Hobby caboose (made in USA, yay!). I was surprised to see everything arrive so quickly. Everything was packed great and I received great service on the phone. I wish I would remember who assisted me on the phone, she was very helpful and professional. I just wanted to thank you. Your store is the best. I miss it and make it a point to visit with my husband and 3 year old son when we are in Buffalo visiting family.

Thanks again!

Hi,

This is a fun place! This is a place you can go shopping in and your hubby, boyfriend, or child will have plenty to look at and amuse themselves while you shop. They have, in the front of the store so many models of airplanes, cars, boats, etc. Matchbox cars and collectibles and kites too. A trains set up and running and all the things you need if you like train collecting. In the lower level there are paints, crayons, kits, yarn, candle and soapmaking and beading and woodworek, and dollhouse materials and doll furniture......Oh my gosh, the list just goes on! If you need craft supplies, this place should definately be on your list, especially, like I said , if you have someone that will need something interesting to look at while you shop.

Look for the red caboose in front and you'll know you arrived.

Thanks again!

Christmas spirit is alive at Niagara Hobby shop

Christmas is for kids. I had occasion to stop in the Niagara Hobby and Craft Store recently. It has a line of goods that would tempt young and old alike — boys and girls and men and women. But the pleasurable thing was six small tables set up for little kids. The tables weren't much higher than a foot above the floor. There was a feudal castle, a barnyard and four tables with little cars and trains

A sign was there saying not to remove the items from the table. But all six tables were crowded with little kids absorbed in handling the little people and animals. No one corrected them or interfered with their pleasure. There was a train table set up behind Plexiglas. It has buttons to push to animate some feature of the trains; all in easy reach for the small-fry.

Outside was a live reindeer for the children to pet, and 50 people were lined up to go into the caboose. It reminded me of the words from a song by Victor Herbert. Toyland — "Once you pass its borders you can ne'er return again."

A new fleet of race cars in The Garage

For years, every time we’ve been in Buffalo, New York, we’ve driven past this hobby shop and I’ve thought we should stop and snoop around. Finally, we dropped in to Niagara Hobby & Craft Mart this morning. This place is absolutely massive and covers just about any hobby that might turn your crank.

As cool as the rockets and trains were, the boys and I had slot cars on our mind. Good thing too, because they had a well stocked selection of incredibly detailed machines from the 1/43 AFX cars to the big 1/24 Carrera cars. We have a Scalextric set at home, so we were looking at the brand in blue.

Of course the boys choices were of the more modern variety, with a Lambo race car and a 911 GT3 RS. Both are supremely cool, but I can’t wait to whip their butts with my 1970 Camaro Trans Am Team Chapparal car. With a miniature Jim Hall behind the wheel, they don’t stand a chance!

AUTHENTIC !!!

Now this store is really a delight for kids, and adults. It's a small business that has been around a long time, and they obviously care a lot about what they're doing. They try hard to have so many items that just aren't carried elsewhere, and it's a pleasure to go in and browse. As a professional in the arts, I love supporting a store like this, and though I don't live nearby, make a point of going several times per year.

Great place to bring kids!

NH is so kid-friendly! There's a huge elaborate working train system with huge start buttons for kids to press. There's also Thomas the Train videos playing as well. Great train assortment too—not just Thomas! There's also Madeline, homemade Doll Houses and furniture, art supplies, die casts, and so much more. I like to take the kids here as a treat on a rainy day. Ample parking. The staff is always very patient with all the kids in there.

Very good Craft Store

If you are looking for that hard to find craft supply that you wouldn't think you would ever find can be found here. They always come through when I need something for my many projects. I needed an engine for my model rocket and they helped me find the right one for me.

Great Hobby Store

In this day and age, a good hobby store is hard to find! This store has just about every hobby imaginable. It's a convenient location and the prices are fair. It's nice to browse and find a new hobby.

PROS: Convenient location. Large variety. Fair prices
CONS: None
